How to Set Up Wi-Fi on a Nintendo Wii by Searching for a Access Point
The Nintendo Wii video game console is equipped with Wireless capability to allow the console to connect to the Internet. By connecting your Wii to the Internet, you can download games, surf the Internet, connect with friends around the globe, and get software updates. You can also use your wireless connection to play games online with specific or random users. You can connect your Wii to an existing wireless network by configuring the connection settings of your console by searching for your access point (wireless router).
- Make sure your wireless router is broadcasting the SSID.
- If you have WEP, WPA2, etc configured on your wireless router get the security key.
- Select the Wii icon located on the bottom left.

- Select Wii Settings.

- Go to the Wii System Settings 2.
- Select Internet.

- Select a connection that shows None.

- Select Wireless Connection.

- Select Search for an Access Point.

- Let the Wii search. This might take a minute or two.

- Select OK.

- Select your Access Point.

- Enter your security key.
- Select OK.

- When it asks you to save the settings select OK.

- Select OK.

- The Wii will initiate a connection test.

- Wii will notify you on screen the connection was successful.
- Select Yes look for a update.
- Select No to skip the update check.
