How to reset Windows password using the reset disk

On a previous article we provided a tutorial on how to create a passwod reset disk. If you forgot your password, you can log on to the computer by using the Password Reset Wizard and your password reset disk. To do this, follow these steps:
 

1. First find the reset disk you created.  Plug the media used to create the reset disk.
2. Click Reset Password on the logon screen.
   
3. When the Password Reset Wizard appears Click Next.
   
4. Select the media with the password reset file and Click Next.
   
5. If the correct password disk is used, it will allow you to create a new password and hint.  After creating the new password Click Next.
   
6. Congratulations you just reset your password.  Click Finish.
