How to Find Your Computers IP Address in MAC OS X

This tutorial will provide instructions on finding your local computer's IP address in MAC OS X. If you are asked for the WAN (Wide Area Network) IP Address you will need to log into your router.  Or you can use our "what's my IP Address tool".

1. Click the Apple icon located on the top left.
2. Click System Preferences.
   
3. In the Internet & Wireless section click Network.
   
4. Select the network adapter and view the IP Address information on the right.
