How to create custom keyboard shortcuts for programs in Windows 7
In Windows 7 you can create custom keyboard shortcuts for your favorite programs.
Note: When creating a custom shortcut, make sure you don’t use the default shortcuts built into Windows 7. Click here for a list of the common default shortcuts.
- Right click the program icon.
- Click Properties.

- On the Shortcut Tab, Click in Shortcut Key.
- Hit the keys you want to use as a short cut. In this example I hit Control + Alt + P.
- Click Apply.

- If you receive the message access denied click Continue.
- Click OK to save the changes.
