How to disable Windows Boot Manager
Submitted by oyahadmin on Thu, 07/03/2008 - 09:39.
Did you recently install an operating system on seperate hard disk and finally decide it wasn't for you and reformatted the disk. When you rebooted you were prompted with a operating system startup screen asking you what operating system you want to boot into. You ask yourself why is it asking me what operating system to use when i reformatted.

In this article we will provide instructions on how to prevent the operating system startup screen from asking you which operating system to use.
- Click the Windows Icon on the bottom left to get the menu.
- Type MSCONFIG in the start search text box and hit enter.

- When the User Account Control window appears click continue.

- Click on the Boot Tab.

- Highlight the operating system you want to boot into automatically without the boot manager.
- Click Set As Default.
- Click Apply.
- Click Ok.

- Click restart for the changes to take affect.
- Your all done!
