How to add remote desktop on Windows Vista Home Premium

Hey Everyone,

I thought this might be helpful for some of you. I was trying to
support my friends computer using RDP. The computer I was trying to RDP
to was running Windows Vista Home Premium. After hours of trying and
scouring the web for more information I found out that Windows Vista
Home Premium is missing
Remote Desktop Connection server capability. You won't have this
problem with the business or ultimate edition of vista. Here are some
tips on how to enable RDP on your Windows Vista Home Premium.

1. Download termsvr.zip here

2. Extract Termsvr.zip to a temp directory

3. Start "Command Prompt" in Administrator mode (Run As Administrator)
*To run the batch file as an administrator you have to "Run as administrator".
*All programs -- Accessories -- Command prompt (RIGHT CLICK, Run as administrator).

4. Run the corresponding batch file for your Vista edition

5. Allow TCP Port 3389 on Windows Firewall or any other firewall product.

6. Done

Note: Don't forget to configure your router if your trying to access your pc via RDP from a remote site

1. Open port 3389 in windows firewall
2. Forward port 3389 on the router your PC's internal IP address.
