the hallows (chapter 4)

Jin Hee was distracted the whole time she was in school. She kept on thinking about her nightmare. Why does she have to dream of that weird scenario? Just then Jin hee heard a tap on the window beside her. She turned to look at it and was surprised to see the little girl she saw at the staircase the other day. The girl smiled at her but her eyes are really scary. That same eyes that glared at her the other day.Ms. Nam called out to her, "Jin Hee? Where are you staring at?" Jin Hee turned to look at Ms. Nam and all her classmates turned to look at her. She pointed at the window."There's a little girl outside," she said silently. Chun Hyang looked at the window and frowned, "No one's there Jin Hee. Are you sleepy?"Jin Hee looked at the window again and saw no one. She gasped and shook her head. She turned her eyes to the front and concentrated on what Ms. Nam is teaching.Later that afternoon, Chun Hyang caught up with Jin hee in the hallway."Kang Jin Hee!" Jin Hee stopped and waited for Chun Hyang. Chun Hyang smiled brightly."Are you coming with us?""Uh ddi? (where to)" Jin Hee asked.Chun Hyang smiled and handed Jin Hee a poster. "We're watching the local band concert in town," Chun Hyang answered, her voice is full of excitement. Jin Hee shook her head and handed the poster back to her friend."No thanks Chun Hyang. But I'm going home." she answered.Chun Hyang snorted and give her a slight nudge on the shoulder."Omo... you're such a killjoy!" Chun Hyang said. "Well anyway, I'll go ahead. Ja rae! (see you)"Jin Hee smiled and waved at her friend. But instead of going outside the campus, Jin Hee turned back on her tracks and started walking towards the old building. She stepped in the building and headed towards the staircase. The same exact nauseaous feeling hit her when she stepped on the first step. She took a deep breath and started climbing. With each step she took, her feeling is getting heavier and heavier. The classes are held only on the first and second floor of the admin building. The last two floors are already abandoned. She reached the last step that led to the last floor. She took another deep breath and her nausea became worse. Her head is spinning around and she started walking down the hallway towards the last room. The hairs on the back of her neck started standing with every step she took. Her eyes darted in every corner, feeling someone is watching her. But no one is there. She reached the last classroom, Room 409, and stepped inside. It's the exact same room in her dream. She looked all around the classroom and her heart is beating loudly in her chest. She can feel her rapid breathing even to her own ears. She started to walk to the window when she heard a chair scraped from behind her. She jumped up in fright and looked back. Her eyes widened when a pale girl with long black hair, wearing the exact same uniform she had is sitting on the chair on the very back. The girl looked familiar in some reason but she couldn't remember where she saw her before. Jin Hee was unable to find the words before she finally speak up."Nu gu nya? (who are you)" Jin hee asked the girl. The girl didn't answer and she just sat there, looking straight ahead. Jin Hee stared at her for a long time and noticed that it's getting dark. The sun is about to set now. Jin Hee took a deep breath and started towards the door when the girl spoke up all of a sudden."Who told you to come here?" the girl asked. Her voice is soft and full of mystery.Jin Hee looked at her, her knees are shaking although she didn't know why."No one ever comes here, " the girl said. "Except you. I never saw you in this campus before."Jin Hee gulped and find the courage to speak."Ye ...I'm a new student here at Kangwon-do," Jin hee said. "What about you?"The girl smiled and looked at her, her eyes so full of secret."I've been here for as long as I can remember." she answered.Jin Hee smiled slightly and started to step outside when the girl spoke again."Do you know them?" the girl asked.Jin hee creased her forehead and looked at her, "Know who?""The people who tortured me ..." she answered back, her voice is hoarse and grave."Mianhae (sorry) ..." Jin hee is really nervous now. "I don't know what you're saying. I have to go."After that, she rushed outside and ran all the way towards the stairs without looking back. She can feel something weird about that girl as she rushed down the stairs. When she reached the last step, the little girl appeared in front of her and Jin Hee screamed in shock. The girl was frowning at her with a warning in her face."I told you she doesn't want anyone upstairs." the little girl said. Jin Hee ran past her and ran all the way to the quad and when she was far from the building, she looked back at the admin building and stared at the last room. She saw the long-haired girl standing by the window. Jin Hee started running out of the gate.----->The school days seemed to pass swiftly and Jin Hee decided to focus on school works rather than thinking about the weird things she had seen lately. She never mentioned anything to anyone ... not even to Chun Hyang or Eun Soo. Chun Hyang invited Jin Hee to come to their house for a sleep-over. Jin Hee is not really the type who's into that stuff but she's kinda' excited about the idea. Maybe having Chun Hyang as a room mate for one night would change all her usual bad dreams. Chun Hyang is taking a shower and Jin hee was left alone in the living room, watching TV. She stood up and started to check out at the pictures in the table with all the figurines. She noticed a familiar picture that's covered beneath some pictures. Her eyes grew wide when she noticed the exact same picture she saw at Eun Soo's box. It had the same inscription on the back, "Bring it to your grave."Just then Chun Hyang came up to her and tapped her lightly on the back."Ya!" Chun Hyang said, making Jin Hee jump. Chun Hyang laughed and Jin hee sighed and closed her eyes in relief."Did I scare you?" Chun Hyang asked, laughing. Jin Hee glared at her."Ya ... don't you ever do that again!" Jin hee said with a hard voice.Chun Hyang was surprised at the change of Jin Hee's voice and she stifled a giggle."Ya ... I was just playing around with you. You're so serious lately." Chun Hyang said. "You need a break. Hmmm ... let's fix your hair." Inside Chun Hyang's room, Jin Hee was sitting on the floor while Chun Hyang is fixing her hair in front of the mirror. She put hair curls in Jin Hee's hair. Jin Hee is still thinking about the picture."Chun Hyang ..." Jin Hee started. "Does ajumma (aunt) go to Kangwon-do High before?"Chun Hyang smiled and nodded, "Ye ... eomma is a graduate from our high school. Wae?" "Nothing ... I am just curious. Do you know who her friends are in high school?" Chun Hyang stopped what she was doing and looked up at the ceiling, thinking. "Hmmm...as far as I know, Ms. Nam is Eomma's friend. Then there's another one ... Eun Soo ... and then the other died when they were in high school."Jin hee stood up and faced Chun Hyang when she heard about it."Eun Soo? Then one of their friends is dead?"Chun Hyang was surprised at Jin Hee's reaction and nodded, "Ye...wae yo?"JIn hee sat again and was thinking hard about that dead friend. "Do you know the reason why one of their friends died?"Chun Hyang shook her head and took a deep breath."Kurraeso (i dont know). Eomma doesn't talk a lot about it," Chun Hyang said. "Ohh ..." Jin Hee's voice is a little disappointed. Something's weird about this whole thing. She needs to figure out the pieces of the puzzle all by herself.  ----> Jin Hee sat in front of her netbook after class Monday morning and she opened the school website. She took the picture out of Eun Soo's box and opened the link that's telling the story about Yoon Ji Hae's death. She compared the picture of Ji Hae from the website and from that of Eun Soo's picture and she gasped. She tried to recall the scenes in her dream and that word that she head, "Bring it to your grave." Could it be that Young Ah is the killer? And her Aunt Eun Soo and Ms. Nam are the friends who backed her up that day? Slowly ... the pieces of the puzzle came to a perfect picture. But the weird thing is that, Jin Hee doesn't have an idea why of all people, Ji Hae keeps on appearing in her dreams, and why she's the only one who can see her in school?
